Primary research for my Doughnut Character

I have a rough idea for my animation and I think one of my characters is going to be a doughnut so I thought I should do some research on how I would want me characters to look so I bought some doughnuts which I thought would be a good look as my Doughy the Doughnut character.

I took quite a lot of photos, here are some of them:

Taking these pictures has given me a starting point for my character and how I want him to look. I took photos with a bite took out of the doughnut too because in my story at the moment the doughnut gets eaten! I think for my animation I will use brighter colours to emphasise the icing and sprinkles more and to make it look more cartoony.
